Giant Panda edit

edit

Hi Number17,

Thanks for working on the Giant Panda article. I was wondering whether you had sources for the claim that numbers in the wild were rising? The references we have in the article at the moment (unless I missed something - which is entirely possible) seem to say that numbers may have been undercounted in the past, but actual trends were still too difficult to know. Do you have access to something else? If so it would be great to get it in the article. --SiobhanHansa 23:06, 14 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for responding. That info is in some of the other sources as well, the only thing that seems truely is clear is that they aren't really sure how many pandas there are! We should probably reword the summary a little to ensure it's not misleading, and make sure the details are covered in the rest of the article. If you want a go feel free. otherwise I'll probably have a try in a day or two. --SiobhanHansa 20:25, 15 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
