Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. JNW (talk) 22:15, 15 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hurlng World Magazine edit

A tag has been placed on Hurlng World Magazine, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Hurlng World Magazine and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. JNW (talk) 22:17, 15 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Hurlng World Magazine edit

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Ros0709 (talk) 23:03, 15 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hurlng World Magazine edit

Re "Apologies, it was my intention to edit the page as i went along! can you offer me advice on what to do?":

The best action is to create in your user space, then move the page using the move tab at the top when you're ready. That is, initially create User:Nube87654/Hurlng World Magazine. However, a couple of notes:

  1. Is this the correct spelling?
  2. Are you familiar with the Wikipedia standards for inclusion? The article will be quickly deleted if notability is not shown or the article appears to be spam.

Some useful pointers to Wikipedia policy are in the welcome message below:

Welcome!

Hello, Nube87654, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question. Again, welcome!

I really don't think the magazine is an appropriate topic for Wikipedia, as it was launched not just this year, but even this month. (As an encyclopedia, Wikipedia is meant to be a compendium of existing knowledge, not a means of making something known.) See the notability guidelines for more details - the primary criterion is: did the subject attract non-trivial coverage from independent third-party sources? - Mike Rosoft (talk) 23:14, 15 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
