edit

Hello, I'm Jim1138. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions, such as the one you made to Mike Sweeney (DJ), because it didn't appear constructive. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Jim1138 (talk) 06:43, 10 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Mike Sweeney (DJ), you may be blocked from editing. Jim1138 (talk) 07:06, 10 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used only for vandalism. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Request reason:

At the request of the Presenter and Producer of the show (Mike Sweeney & Dewsbury respectively), I edited the page with an 'off the cuff' comment pertaining to the recent hair replacement by Mike; Jim1138 edited it back and gave me a warning without even knowing the context of the edit, having never heard the radio show in question (he said on his Talk Page "Vandalism by request is still vandalism"). Other edits he has reversed on the same page include ones by both Mike & Dewsbury themsleves...check the IPs and you will find theirs came from IPs leased to GMG Radio, the parent company of Real Radio XS. Looking at Jim1138s history, it's not the first time he has abused his 'powers'

Decline reason:

Whether this particular individual asked his listeners to vandalize Wikipedia on his behalf is immaterial. This edit is clearly unconstructive and contravenes policies on verifiability. Kinu t/c 07:35, 10 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

So, what was the official reason for editing out Mike Sweeney's own edit, when he added the fact he had won a Lifetime Award by The Radio Academy in the UK? Easily verifiable, yet removed without reason by an overzealous moderator.

Decline reason:

reason for editing out Mike Sweeney's own edit - the information about the award is still there. Easily verifiable - the burden of proof lies on the person adding content, not those reverting unreferenced additions. Anyway, this request doesn't discuss your own actions and thus it can't be fulfilled. Max Semenik (talk) 08:19, 10 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • Actually, that edit remains in the article. As for "easily verifiable", I looked and couldn't locate a supporting source so the edit might not last. Maybe someone will find a source, we'll see. Tiderolls 07:52, 10 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
