1. What we're planning to talk about for the Weardrobe page
Basic Summary of the Community/Website
  1. Why we're proposing this/why it relates to the Class?

Hi Karli and Weili,

Let me know what your thoughts are on the weardrobe page. Also, which one of us should do the write-up? It looks pretty quick, nothing too complicated.

I'm okay with anyone doing it. I was just doing some reading up on it, and saw that it won a Facebook Fund competition back in 2009 [fb fund] where its creators got to take part in a summer incubator program, which is pretty interesting. It even got bought out in the Fall afterwards by Like. It sounds like it has an interesting background, and is a cool idea. --Nocturnalcaffeine (talk) 01:55, 13 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

OK, that sounds like good information. It sounds like this online community definitely needs an informative page on Wikipedia. I guess I will write the write-up for argument sake. Can everyone agree that our main goal is to create a page for weardrobe.com for the purpose of informing the public about what it is considering it has become so noted/recognized in the online community world? Let me know your thoughts. It looks like we just need a purpose, what we plan to include in the article, and our names, so as long as we can brainstorm/agree about what we plan to include writing this will be simple for me.

Please post thoughts! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kprincisvalle (talkcontribs) 02:20, 13 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

I agree, Katie! So purpose is just being informative on a good, quality community [maybe it needs more users?], and the info we'll be providing is the history of the site (it was a simple design that got picked up by a Facebook incubator program, went from beta to full-version, and then got sold off to Like) , what's purpose is (it's a community of sharing fashion, very much on the micro-blogging form, where users can show a photo of an outfit, optionally tag what clothes are a part of it, and create a database wardrobe of their closet so they can start to generate other outfits from user input and inspiration), and how the community functions? --Nocturnalcaffeine (talk) 02:27, 13 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Great! I'll incorporate all those thoughts and post it to Prof. Leshed's UserWiki. See you all tomorrow!
