Since your username is the only reason for the block, and there are very few edits associated with this username, it might be easier to log out, just create the new username yourself, and start using it; no further action on this block would be needed, it would not be considered block evasion, and you could start editing right away. That's my suggestion. However, if you'd like to keep the history of this account for some reason, you can confirm that here, and I'll unblock you so that you can request a rename at WP:RENAME. I'm fine with waiting and going through the rename request; it'd probably be easier than making an extra email to make a new account (and then remembering that's the email I used...). Could I at least write drafts in my sandbox until the username change is processed? I can't use my sandbox at the moment (which kinda sucks 'cause I got blocked mid-writing a page into my sandbox and haven't been able to save any of it). I've unblocked you, so you can now request a username change. While I, personally, wouldn't block you if you edited your sandbox after making a username change request, but before it went thru, I can't speak for other admins.
