Conflict of Interest

edit
I have read the rules you identified above and acknowledge that I have a conflict of interest. Likewise, per the rules, I believe that another major contributor to the Biscayne Landing and Munisport pages, RandomStuff, also has a COI. While we have started a dialogue on the talk page as to how to resolve our differences and ensure that the pages we are interested in comply with the NPOV policy, I suggest that you monitor BOTH of us for potential bias due to COI. You base you allegation of COI for User:RandomStuff on what? While you are clearly an admited employee of the PR group for Biscayne Landing, User:RandomStuff doesn't appear to have such a clear COI.--Cerejota 01:13, 16 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
I don't have a COI, but I may have gotten a bit POV during my edit war with Marketingsupport. Please feel free to NPOV my edits, just make sure you leave comments as to why you are making those changes. Also, you are correct, blogs no not count as sourced, so any contributions where my sole source is a blog may be removed, and will only be re-added if a reliable source can be found. --RandomStuff 16:29, 16 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
I accept your explanation above and your word that you have no COI. Please accept my apology NoMoBS 21:08, 20 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Constructive Contributions

edit

NoMoBS - Marketingsupport caused a bit of a backlash with improper wikipedia behaviour, but your project should not suffer as a result. I have checked on your posted info on the situation and as far as I can tell everything you posted about the current environmental situation is accurate, my appologies for having outdated information. Let's work together to make the 2 articles (munisport and biscayne landing) more NPOV, as it seems that your project is actually progressing more positively than it was under Swerdlow. Just make sure your edits are sourced and accurate. I agree that the munisport info belongs in the munisport and not biscayne landing article, as long as nobody else has a problem feel free to make appropriate edits. Here's what I do not object to you cleaning up re: my edits

  • blogs are not sources, so information relying on blogs should be removed unless a better source is found
  • NPOV "facts": oppinions can be removed unless there is significant notability ("Some say..." types of comments probably don't belong, either pro- or con-)
  • article would like nice with some photos, if you don't mind a CC license :)

You will see that I have already made some edits as per some of your suggestions that I agreed with. Despite the earlier edit war (an unfortunate side-effect of you being new to wikipedia) I would like this to be a NPOV article and there appear to be positive aspects of your development that, as you said, you are aware of and I am not. (again, just source your edits so they are verifiable and there is no problem) --RandomStuff 17:08, 16 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. Your recent edits to the Biscayne Landing page are absolutely constructive and reflect NPOV. I am happy to work with you to insure that the page stays that way. I appreciate your comment as to the progress of the project under Boca Developers versus Swerdlow. As you requested, I can get some photos that can be uploaded on an unrestricted basis. As I've acknowledged my COI, I'll have those photos posted to this page and we can reach consensus before uploading to the Biscayne Landing page. I can assure you that Boca Developers has no desire to use Wikipedia to market this project and I'll do my best to make sure that doesn't happen, even inadvertently.
