Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, NoFlyingCars! I am Abce2 and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

{{helpme}} Say there are 10 strong references for a single statement, should you cite them all, or just one, or a few, or as many as you want? Since this is an encyclopedia, I'd think that the more the better, but can you ever have too much? Thanks, NoFlyingCars (talk) 09:26, 13 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

That is at your discretion. It is better to cite more sources for a potentially controversial comment, but too many sources reduces the flow of an article. Use as many as you see fit. —Dark 10:01, 13 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

indymedia edit

Hmm. It seems okay to me. But it is largely dependent on what exactly you want to use from the site. Any good article cites multiple sources and if indymedia is one of them, that's just fine. However, it might be problematic if it were the only source but I don't see any problem with referencing it. If you want a better answer then what I gave you, you can ask the fine folks at the policy pump. -- penubag  (talk) 10:12, 17 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Oh, and by the way, I'm honored to be a "cool person that inspires you" :) -- penubag  (talk) 10:19, 17 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
