Slane clg
editHi Nihiltres, you deleted Slane clg CSD A7. I'm not contesting the deletion at all. I was wondering however if you could provide me with the text of the deleted page as perhaps some of it would be worth merging into the Slane article. Thanks, Patleahy 17:33, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- That seems reasonable. I'll review that the content isn't a problem, and if it isn't, I'll undelete it and move it to Talk:Slane/Slane clg for your use, deleting the resulting redirect. Nihiltres(t.c.s) 17:42, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- Done, it didn't seem to be a problem. Nihiltres(t.c.s) 18:21, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Separate news from box - Signpost page
editI didn't make a note on that page, but you can separate the box from the rest. See Template talk:Signpost-textonly for more information on how to personalize it, and if you have any formatting ideas, I can add additional options. Ral315 » 02:32, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- Aha, that looks like just what I had in mind - thank you very much. It might be a good idea to make sure that people know of its existence without looking at the template code, I'll see if there are places where it can be made more visible. Nihiltres(t.c.s) 13:19, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
Thanks
editThanks for the Vandalism Revert, I think it's the same person, according to the similarities of this edit and this edit. Thanks again.

Shaukat Thanvi
editHi Nihiltres, I was doing a google search on "Shaukat Thanvi" (a Pakistani humor writer from a few decades ago, whom I like) which pointed me to a page on Wikipedia. But when I went there, it appears to have been deleted by you. Just curious, what happened? Bjkumar 12:14, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- When the article was created, it was created as an article which was less than a basic stub, and so qualified for speedy deletion. I happened upon the article, which was tagged as such, while zipping around the speedy deletion category, and deleted it as tagged. It doesn't have anything to do with the subject's notability, so if you want to recreate the article with an appropriate starter length, go ahead, I encourage you. Hope that makes sense, Nihiltres(t.c.s) 20:03, 3 June 2007 (UTC) (cross-posted)
Thank you.
editHi Nihiltres,
Thank you for fixing my Userbox on my Userpage last February. I just saw what you did on it.
I have a lot of trouble understanding how to edit Userpages. I see that yours is very nice!
Cyberanto.
I have to say I'm confused, to say the least, as to why Image:HeadstrongAshleyTisdale.jpg was deleted. As I stated in the {{holdon}} tag, Image:Headstrong.jpg is at a high resolution and was not a valid replacement for the low resolution Image:HeadstrongAshleyTisdale.jpg. Allowing people to upload high resolution copyrighted images that violate our policies and have the low resolution ones deleted does not set a very good precedent. Now Image:Headstrong.jpg needs to be scaled down and reuploaded, for the second time now. ShadowHalo 03:14, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, I only agreed with a speedy deletion tag that it should be deleted via CSD I1, and silly me, I didn't see the {{hangon}} template, I was using an unusually small browser window. Reupload it and I won't bother you, even if it again qualifies for CSD I1. Also, you might want to consider that 600x600 is probably fine as the high end of "low-resolution": printed copies wouldn't be anywhere near decent. Nihiltres(t.c.s) 04:13, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Could you delete this one too? I just redirected it because of the violation. — Moe ε 06:07, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
- Done under CSD G8. :) Nihiltres(t.c.s) 11:35, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Audio Sample List
editI had an audio sample list of samples I have uploaded. It was deleted as a gallery of fair use images. It wasnt a gallery. I actually use the list as a reference as to what I have and haven't clipped and require it to figure out what I want to upload later and where I should continue from. I was on a wiki vacation that ended this morn (thanks to a reformat). Anyways, I really really need that list, If the issue is that I made it rather public on my page - can I get it back, but maybe not link it from my userpage like I had done. I really use that list often to listen to my samples, and there's no way for me to view a list of those audio samples (least at this point in time). I've even lost the ogg's I've uploaded. I hope I have properly expressed my concern. Thank You, --x1987x(talk) 01:26, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- I didn't have non-free images, I had non-free audio samples linked from a subpage of my userpage. Even so, are links to non-free images not allowed from a userspace? --x1987x(talk) 01:35, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- Is there a way for you to email me the web page (File>Save Page)? --x1987x(talk) 01:46, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- I'll undelete the page so that you can copy down the links and re-request its deletion using {{db-u1}}. That way your list can be restored to you, but the page will remain deleted (it's definitely a fair use violation). In the meantime, I will {{prod}} it and watch it - you have a few days by which to copy the list down before it is deleted again. Nihiltres(t.c.s) 19:35, 10 June 2007 (UTC) (cross-posted)
- So, as long as the list is not on wikimedia servers, it will not be a problem, right? So I can post it freely anywhere on the "internets." --x1987x(talk) 01:51, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
- If it's not on Wikimedia servers, I won't bother you. ;) Nihiltres(t.c.s) 02:14, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

Hi; would not userfying have been preferrable to deletion? Just asking.--Anthony.bradbury"talk" 22:14, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- Probably, I'm afraid that didn't occur to me at the time. I'll try to keep that in mind if I come across more like that. Nihiltres(t.c.s) 22:24, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
Fredgar I'm new but...why dosen't wikipedia have an article on Jack Ferver. The guy from the Starburst commercial? Every time I look him up he and then try to make an article on him for some reason it has been prevented. Are people already making articles on him?
Hi! It looks like you deleted Talk:Bill Merasty as db-talk, even though the article is still there. Can it be brought back? -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 04:45, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
- You must be talking about Talk:Billy Merasty, for which case I deleted the talk page before the page was recreated. Check the timestamps on the deletion log for the talk page and the page history for the article: I deleted the talk page hours before the article was recreated. The content of the page was entirely bot edits anyway. Nihiltres(t.c.s) 12:00, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you - I didn't think to check the logs for the article, just the ones for the talk page. My bad :) -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 00:29, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

- I think I'll ignore the above comment or block this user later, this is an obvious sockpuppet of User:Killthemac. Nihiltres(t.c.s) 14:34, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
- I can't personally justify a block just yet, but I will indefinitely block the user if he begins to vandalize. I do use a Mac, but that is a non-issue, in my opinion. Nihiltres(t.c.s) 16:27, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

editI never make it a habit of blocking indefinitely on the first block. Any admin who sees more vandalism from this will see my block and will probably indef but everyone deserves a second chance. Sasquatch t|c 02:39, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
Roadkill Bill
editIs there a way to see a web page that got deleted? I was just going to add a page but there apparently already was one. A bunch of other pages still point at it (though many due to discussions.)
I don't know that much about it, but it's been around for years and seems to be getting weirder. I was just going to stub it out & hope it got built up...--Jaibe 21:00, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
- I deleted it under a 5-day-old proposed deletion tag, so if you want to recreate it, you're free to do so - prods don't carry the weight of an AfD discussion or the red flag of a CSD. Nihiltres(t.c.s) 22:02, 21 June 2007 (UTC) (cross-posted)
