Rename bug, and other lesser bugs edit

When renaming a param, it is updated in params but it's not in paramOrder. And everything works fine until we try to preview or save the changes.

Other lesser bugs are:

  • It allows to rename a param to an existing name. It shows both, and when applying it deletes the original.
    • A solution would be to ask "Rename or delete the previous \"$1\" param?".
  • It allows to create empty named params, which shows smaller (maybe because have no text). Two possible solution:
    • Don't allow it;
    • or ask when applied "Rename or delete this unnamed param?".
  • It remains suggestion to add parameters that were specified as alias of others. Two solutions:
    • Don't show them;
    • pr show then separated, like:
      • "Add $1 parameters that were no declared anywere"
      • and "Add $1 parameters that were only declared as alias" (in this case, mark "obsolete" as defualt).

Thanks!

Hi Eloy, I don't know if Ltrlg still maintains this tool since there's now a Template Data Editor integrated into MediaWiki, but you should report problem on the talk page on frwiki. --NicoV (Talk on frwiki) 05:49, 17 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
I no longer maintain this script, please use the integrated editor. — Ltrlg (talk), 08:01, 17 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

What Template Data Editor is integrated into MediaWiki now? edit

"Since there's now a Template Data Editor integrated into MediaWiki itself, this tool is not maintained anymore."

Can you clarify what Template Data Editor is it referring to?

Thank you. 捍粵者 (talk) 05:13, 16 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
