Sustainability, in the broadest sense, is the ability to sustain a certain process or state at a certain rate or level, hence the term; sustain-ability. This line is good and does a good job along with the dictionary def... as to making this clear.

I think your history section looks good, but the intro part is more opinion/commentary based and leads the reader... and is not cited so looks p.o.v. mostly.

More citations/refs could be added to it in certain places like your early early history (Greeks), but that could also be done later. I think you could start to insert this information as you have done it now, into the article. skip sievert (talk) 18:24, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
