Adding references
editThanks for your recent question about adding references to the hoodia article and others.
Wikipedia:Reliable sources is a good guideline for what can be added. The nutranews article you mention is OK, but rather than cite that, it is better to go to the primary sources listed as footnotes on that article and write a short summary of those findings.
For this Wikipedia, all linked references should be in English, but you can add the others to the French and German Wikipedias.
The main goal is to provide a concise summary with citations from reliable, verifiable sources. Let me know if you have other questions. Again, welcome! It takes a little time to get acclimated here, but editing can be great fun! Jokestress 17:51, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
Please do not add commercial links or links to your own private websites to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links to the encyclopedia. If you feel the link should be added to the article please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thanks. .
Pharmaceutical selling websites rarely provide information with verifiable citated sources to their claims and are generally poor choice to add as an external link. David Ruben Talk 13:17, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
