Multiple accounts

edit

Hi there.

Can you please explain your connection with the accounts FineLineProductionsLtd (talk · contribs) and Davecoteproductions (talk · contribs)?

Both of those appear to be against our user name policies.

It is also important to note that use of more than one account often causes big problems. Chzz  ►  23:29, 4 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

I created account davecoteproductions initially because i was creating a wiki article for david cote. i am Nick Soroka, and am not affiliated with david cote. one of the editors said i should not have an account on wikipedia that reflects the name david cote. i agreed and created finelineproductions, which is a company that david cote formed. i missunderstood. the wikipedia editor told me that when submitting an article on a noteable individual, that i should simply create an account in my name, and NOT one that reflects the individual on whom the article is being created about. i therefore created an account in my own name: nick soroka. i initially thought it was mandatory to create an account that was reflecting of the article. sorry for the confusion. does that clear it up? Yes, that's fine, thanks. We get nervous when people use multiple accounts and so on - but, those two are already blocked, so no problems. Thanks for explaining.  Chzz  ►  07:11, 5 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your submission at Articles for creation

edit

David Cote (film director), which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.

Thank you for helping Wikipedia!  Chzz  ►  03:10, 5 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Chzz, I realize that the article was created for "David Cote". This is fine, although I realize that in his industry, he is better known as "Dave Cote".. is there a way to 1) rename the article "Dave Cote", or 2) add "Dave Cote"? This is because, I am realizing more and more in my research, that when and if people search this individual, they will more likely type "Dave Cote" into the search field. NickSoroka (talk) 03:21, 5 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

I think this is now resolved, with the redirect from Dave Cote.  Chzz  ►  07:11, 5 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

David Cote (film director) has many films that are world-wide released, including Killer Bash. I have sourced Killer Bash, as it was a theatrical/DVD worldwide release, and I personally know there are more, though I must do more research to find the sources. However, this source of Killer Bash as now cited should provide sufficient evidence that it was a major release, and therefore that the proposed reason for deleting this article is now invalid. Thank You NickSoroka (talk) 22:46, 5 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

more issues on David Cote

Nick - please make sure you read the discussion at Talk:David Cote (film director) before adding more information to the article. There are some serious problems with the changes you are trying to make, and it's important that you understand what's wrong. Tim Pierce (talk) 02:56, 6 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

[User:Twp|Tim Pierce]] (talk Thank you, I am a newbie here, so I'm learning. Further to David Cote's career for the article I have created, Cote worked in fashion as a model, which granted him the access to start producing film, notably "Don't Tell My Agent" and "Midnight Diaries" (the new documentary about exploitation in the modeling industry. I have sources here of his involvement in the fashion industry internationally: http://x-raymodels.gr/catalogue/item.asp?fIndex=49 and http://jcvancouver.com/portfolios/men/david/gallery.htm and http://www.flashmodelmanagement.com/men_detail.php?codice=152

Can I add this to the career section for david cote? Also relevant are the various add campaings (Armani Jeans, AG Hair, Budwiser, MacDonalds' and others.) And if I add them, do I just write a sentence or two, as you have edited my original content down to? Or do I write descriptively?

I look forward to your response, thank you, Nick NickSoroka (talk) 07:06, 6 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

What's going on with these two page moves? [1] It's got me a bit confused as to why you moved them? Could you drop me a quick message just so I understand?

Thanks
