Kadamba map

Marking the disputed boundary differently and giving proper explanation doesnt make it POV does it? It makes no sense to have complicated disputed regions in a historical map, modern administrative boundaries seem more than sufficient for reference -- ^{PlaneMad|YakYak} 21:17, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

Re: Usurption request for username: Basil

I humbly ask you to reconsider your position on my request to usurp the Basil (talk · contribs) username. This user only made a single, one-line edit to a talk page over five years ago and hasn't been active since. As an aside, this was my late father's name and I wish to use it in honor of his name.

At last count, I've over 1800 edits and have contributed multiple articles and templates to the Wikipedia mainspace. Dan has previously approved this case. I'm a dedicated member and would really appreciate if you would reconsider this case. Thank you, Pepto gecko 22:26, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

kaziranga again

Hi, I cannot understand what u really want from the Tourism section of kaziranga National Park. Do u want it to be deleted or other modification if any u want , pls. specify it clearly. Dwaipayan has done some relevant changes in the sections. As per of the licensing of images, messages forwarded to concerned department. Red links, I suppose is not a hindarance for an article to become a FA. U said removal of subsections, which ones except the seasonal variation, which i found very hard to copyedit. Hi, there are a couple of usurpation requests you denied when clearing the backlog that you might want to take another look at.

1. Wassermann ← WassermannNYC. You denied the request on the basis that the requested account was created last month, but actually it was created on 25 February 2006 [1].
2. Aldor ← Cyvros. Similarly, this account was actually created on 10 January 2006 [2].

Also,

1. I've moved a few talkpage for recently usurped accounts to the right locations. I'll try and keep an eye out for those in future so you don't get bothered about it as much.
2. I updated User:Nichalp/sysop to reflect the fact that AfD discussions now last 5 days not 1 week- hope you don't mind...

Conversion depends on the organisation of the layers. If you can send me the map without the text, i can convert it to vector format. Usurpation policy

Hi Nichalp. I've been looking at WP:USURP and I see that requests to usurp names with any edits whatsoever are refused. I've been thinking of requesting to usurp User:KissL which was created by me some time back as a doppelganger account (it was at a time when name changes were not possible) but I made two edits with it, to its userpage and its user talk page. Usurpations and time limit

Dear Nichalp, Don't you think there should be a time limitation for the users to post or have something in their talk page to support eligible Usurpations? For example, I can't have my name Cyril because someone made a single edit in 2001, which was reverted later and nothing in the user talk page. Don't you think it's a good idea to set a time period for the user to make a contribution or talk page edits? Can you help to make or amend the policy? Most of the images are uploaded to the commons, how to link a picture to the commons , have same name as in En-wikipedia. Moreover permissions sent about 2 weeks back no respose yet from the Wikimedia. I have the ticket number with me but theydidn't tag them. Should i tag them? Thanks for ur help. Request for 1996 India Map Outline

Dear Nichalp,

I am a student who will greatly appreciate your advice on how to find a pre-1996 map similar to the remarkable one you created on <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:India-locator-map-blank.svg>.

Do you think you could advise me on how to find such a map? The problem is that my senior essay uses pre-1996 data. Hence I'm desperately looking for an editable map where the state of Madhya Pradesh includes Chattisgarh, and so on for Bihar and Uttar Pradesh as well.

I shall eagerly look forward to hearing from you, and can definitely provide more details if you so require.
