License tagging for Image:A.W.H. Bio.pdf

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:A.W.H. Bio.pdf. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 16:05, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

What is Mr. Abeyesundere's full name? The article's title should properly contain a full given name, without the titles and honorifics.   Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Abeyesundere, Hon. Justice A.W.H.. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/3a/A.W.H._Bio.pdf in this case) or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Abeyesundere, Hon. Justice A.W.H. with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article Talk page. Alternatively, you may create a note on your web page releasing the work under the GFDL and then leave a note at Talk:Abeyesundere, Hon. Justice A.W.H. with a link to the details.

Otherwise, you are encouraged to rewrite this article in your own words to avoid any copyright infringement. After you do so, you should place a {{hangon}} tag on the article page and leave a note at Talk:Abeyesundere, Hon. Justice A.W.H. saying you have done so. An administrator will review the new content before taking action.

It is also important that all Wikipedia articles have an encyclopedic tone and follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. -- Jreferee (Talk) 23:36, 15 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Justice Abeyesundere article

edit

Hi Nibiruet, I see you have created a number of articles on Wikipedia. Unfortunately the articles were not entirely in accordance with Wikipedia policy, and a number of editors have expressed concern over them.

First up, thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia and please continue to contribute. However, please go through some of the links I provided in the Welcome message above, and take a look at other similar articles to see how they are set up. If you need any sort of assistance, don't hesitate to ask me on my talk page, I will be glad to help.

I wikified the article you created about Justice Abeyesundere and renamed it A.W.H. Abeyesundere. As Finngall asked above, do you know Justice Abeyesundere's full name? Articles normally have the persons full name as the title. There is also a problem with the image you uploaded Image:A.W.H.jpg. Wikipedia requires that you state where you obtained the image from. If you do not provide the info the image may be deleted. You could get more info on images from Help:Images, and I'll be glad to help if you need any further help. Thanks, and happy editing. --snowolfD4 ( talk / @ ) 20:53, 18 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Legal Draftsman, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Removing Images

edit

If you would like that image deleted (I am assuming that is what you meant), then put this template on the image page: {{db-g7}} It will say that you were the only contributor to the image and that you request it to be deleted. After you put it on there, an admin will come and delete it for you. Captain panda 21:30, 20 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Removing tag

edit

If you think a tag can be removed, do so. If in doubt see the articles talk page. Note the SmackBot oesn't add the tags, just dates them. Rich Farmbrough, 16:15 5 February 2008 (GMT).

Proposed deletion of File:Wiki Sunil.jpg

edit

The file File:Wiki Sunil.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 26 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
