Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to the page Template:MontrealNeighbourhoods. Blank pages can confuse readers, and are overall not helpful to the Wikipedia project; furthermore, blanking a page is not the same as deleting it.

If the article you blanked is a duplicate of another article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalized, please revert it to the last legitimate revision. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please use the appropriate deletion process.   Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Template:MontrealNeighbourhoods, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. If you think the template needs moved to a different title, please explain your reasoning. After consensus on the move is reached, other editors can assist in moving it. —C.Fred (talk) 20:52, 8 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Montréal

edit

Please don't copy and paste the content of Montreal to the redirect of Montréal. There is a consensus that the English name should be the title of the page. Best, IronGargoyle (talk) 21:01, 8 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • Please note that there is a guideline in place, reflecting community consensus, at WP:CANSTYLE#French names. The guideline is to use the majority English spelling for place names including, as specified there, Montreal. Although your edits are in good faith, please do not add the accents to spellings throughout the English Wikipedia, especially in article and template titles. —C.Fred (talk) 21:02, 8 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
