your deletions from Dresden article

edit

Why did you delete a huge amount of useful material [1] from Dresden? If it was an accident, please try to be more careful in the future. Thanks. -- Viajero 13:50, 3 May 2004 (UTC)Reply

Yes, it was an accident, we both repaired it in the same minute. Sorry nevertheless. I do not really know how that could happen. A subpage got everything somehow, really don´t understand why. ;-) I will pay more attention in future.

Ok, no problem. Practically everything on Wikipedia can be undone. Since I have your attention, two minor suggestions:
  1. don't forget to sign your posts to user pages (type four '~'s and the system automatically replaces this with your name and a date/timestamp).
  2. try to use Show preview instead of Save page where possible; it makes the Page history easier to follow.
Bye for now, -- Viajero 14:53, 3 May 2004 (UTC)Reply

I have tagged Image:Pillnitz.jpg as ((permission)). Can you get a more generous license from your friend? Check the Wikipedia:Image_copyright_tags to find the possibilities. --Error 03:12, 9 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Image licensing

edit

Hi! Thanks for uploading Image:DresdenSemperOper2.jpg. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}}{{gfdl}}if you release it under the GFDL, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the images and I'll tag them for you.

If you uploaded other images, please clarify copyright for them as well, otherwise the images will eventually be deleted.

Thanks, Denni 01:39, 2004 Dec 13 (UTC)

File source problem with File:Dresdenschool.jpg

edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Dresdenschool.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 09:54, 3 January 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast (talk) 09:54, 3 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
