You add to Geoffrey K. Pullum:

In 2003 he was elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and in 2009 a Fellow of the British Academy.

For this kind -- and most other kinds -- of material, please provide sources. Here's an example (not created by me) about somebody else (the photographer Vanessa Winship):

[[PHotoEspaña]] (PHE) Discovery Award for best portfolio (Premio PHotoEspaña Descubrimientos al mejor portfolio), International Festival of Photography and Visual Arts, Madrid, Spain, for the series ''Sweet Nothings''<ref>{{cite web|url = http://www.phe.es/en/noticias/1/news/4/the_israeli_yaakov_israel-_winner_of_descubrimientos_phe12 | accessdate = 2 January 2014 | publisher = | title = The Israeli Yaakov Israel, winner of Descubrimientos PHE12 | quote = The winners of the last editions of the prize are Fernando Brito,Vanessa Winship}}</ref><ref>{{cite web|url = http://artdaily.com/index.asp?int_sec=2&int_new=48064&b=armen#.UsXbefgz1T8 | accessdate = 2 January 2014 | publisher = artdaily | title = Winner of Discoveries PHE Award 2010 Vanessa Winship Presents Her Solo Exhibition | quote = Madrid.- Under Off Festival section of PHotoEspaña 2011, the British photographer Vanessa Winship, winner of Descubrimientos PHE Award 2010 (Discoveries PHE), shows her work Sweet Nothings in a solo exhibition at the Art bookstore and gallery Gloria.}}</ref>

This produces:

PHotoEspaña (PHE) Discovery Award for best portfolio (Premio PHotoEspaña Descubrimientos al mejor portfolio), International Festival of Photography and Visual Arts, Madrid, Spain, for the series Sweet Nothings[1][2]

  1. ^ "The Israeli Yaakov Israel, winner of Descubrimientos PHE12". Retrieved 2 January 2014. The winners of the last editions of the prize are Fernando Brito,Vanessa Winship
  2. ^ "Winner of Discoveries PHE Award 2010 Vanessa Winship Presents Her Solo Exhibition". artdaily. Retrieved 2 January 2014. Madrid.- Under Off Festival section of PHotoEspaña 2011, the British photographer Vanessa Winship, winner of Descubrimientos PHE Award 2010 (Discoveries PHE), shows her work Sweet Nothings in a solo exhibition at the Art bookstore and gallery Gloria.

This uses a template (Template:Cite web), but the use of this or a similar template is not necessary. Instead, simple

<ref>"[http://www.phe.es/en/noticias/1/news/4/the_israeli_yaakov_israel-_winner_of_descubrimientos_phe12 The Israeli Yaakov Israel, winner of Descubrimientos PHE12]", phe.es. Accessed 2 January 2014.</ref>

(and similar) would do the job. -- Hoary (talk) 09:46, 23 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Stwalkerster. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! stwalkerster (talk) 07:15, 25 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Rebecca Posner. Thank you. stwalkerster (talk) 07:43, 25 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Philological Society, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Paul Russell. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 18:09, 18 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
