The problem is known. Several people have reported it to the technicians, over the past 6 hours or so. It is logged here.
I'm sorry, but I don't know much about what is causing it - something about some specific servers, and some memory/cache issue.
Refreshing the page seems to 'fix' things.
So, to answer your query - no, there is no need to report such errors. Thanks,  Chzz  ►  08:18, 26 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
OK, Thank you Narracan3824 (talk) 08:19, 26 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
It has also been reported in Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)/Archive 124#Weird_error_on_loading_WP:VPT.  Chzz  ►  08:21, 26 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

It should be fixed now - I heard, from the tech team. It was caused by an error on some specific server(s) causing a corruption, and when they were restarted, the Apache (cache) retained the problem for some time. That's also now been cleared. So, all should be well. Just thought I'd let you know.  Chzz  ►  18:00, 26 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
