Your help request at WP:WPSCH edit

I've moved your request for help from the main discussion page to Wikipedia:WikiProject_Schools/Help#Johnston_High_School, where, hopefully it'll get a little bit more short term attention.

I can't really dedicate a lot of attention to it right now, but it looks like a really good start. There's a couple of things that I can spot that would be good to fix in the short term, for example, removing mention of teachers names per WP:WPSCH/AG#WNTI and removing honorifics (e.g. Mr.) from all names.

Good luck. ˜danjel [ talk | contribs ] 00:30, 1 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Cooperation edit

Hi. If you haven't seen it already, you might be interested in WikiProject Cooperation, a new project that "facilitates collaboration with editors paid to edit Wikipedia." Thanks. Eclipsed   (talk)   (COI Declaration)   23:53, 22 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

I edited that article for you. I am sure I did ok, but you may wish to check it over.--Canoe1967 (talk) 02:41, 25 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

I think that may be some java thingy at the website. I get:
at the 10K page, but that seems to be a generic one, and "javascript:void(0)" if I try to copy the shortcut from the main page. I tested it after editing and it worked then, I thought. The site may have changed their set up since I edited. Is there a link to the 10-k on another site? If you know of other articles that use the same link, they may be failing as well. I would think that a copy of the 10-k on any web host should suffice. You may wish to phone/email that site and let them know that their changes may have caused problems with wikipedia, and thus cause all of wikipedia to be deleted because of lack of proper citations.--Canoe1967 (talk) 15:06, 26 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
Hmm ok. Since it's an official government filing, it would still meet reliable source standards if you use the filing linked from the company's official website. Here's a link. Thanks again for your help. Namk48 (talk) 15:31, 26 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
I think I have it working now after using that link. Do you know of other articles that use the same previous site for references? They may need to be checked as well. The article also seems to be flagged for lack of balance. Is that in reference to a labour dispute that may need to be added and cited?--Canoe1967 (talk) 15:52, 26 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
Thanks again for your help. I'm not aware of any labor dispute but I will note that the article looks substantially different now then it did at the time that it was flagged. For reference, here's what it looked like then: link. If you look at the article's revision, and talk page, it looks like there's been a lot of work done to the article, and the changes appear to have been made through consensus. It may be that the flag is just a relic from before. Namk48 (talk) 16:57, 26 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

I removed the tag, I think the term may be 'stale tag'. I made a note in the talk page on it. Btw, you are very welcome. It seems one editor stated that you were actually alowed to make the changes, but the guidelines still don't recommend that. I think there is a page with editors that are paid, unless your company doesn't see that as a good budget choice. I may join that editor group to see if I can take up and support a crack habit with it. Beer just doesn't seem to do it anymore.--Canoe1967 (talk) 17:43, 26 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

I changed president to chairman. I doubt it will be reverted. If it is we will just need to add a citation to it probably.--Canoe1967 (talk) 19:14, 9 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
