With Regards to Mortal Kombat

edit

User:Blazewing16 and User:Beemer69; I've seen what's been happening between you two in the Mortal Kombat pages and I wish to open a parley before things get worse. I'm not an experienced editor like you two, but I know enough that a edit war will ensue if you continue on this current course. In case you aren't aware, I've been working to deescalate your hostilities, but I need your shared cooperation to continue. First and foremost, please understand that both of you have good points. It's clear to me that both of you have good intentions, but are butting heads over your personal editing styles. As I said in the Ermac page, Blazewing, you have the right idea in condensing plot information as much as possible and removing extraneous content. However, the MK character pages aren't like the comic book pages you work on. If certain sections require certain types of formatting, you should respect those instead of ignoring them. Speaking of respect, Beemer, you're coming off as highly disrespectful to Blazewing. I understand your point that lists shouldn't be used in the MK character pages. However, to use Ermac as an example again, you shouldn't have extended your anger over the other appearances section to the main video game section. If you disagree with the former, that's one thing, but similarly to Blazewing, you can't just ignore someone's work in favor of restoring your own. In this case, the fact that you did so without acknowledging the good parts and/or making a compromise sounds hypocritical of you, considering what you've said about fixing the page. I'm not taking sides here and I'm prepared to ask for an admin's help if either of you get hostile with me. What I'm trying to say is that both of you need to acknowledge the good parts, compromise, and make edits that incorporate those with your own instead of digging in and blacklisting everything they do. Wikipedia is here for everyone to enjoy, not for you two to squabble over how something should be done. MysteryMan310 (talk) 14:04, 13 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
