Request reason:

I had no idea that one was not allowed to create more than one username on Wikipedia, which is why I created Myelin69 and Lizzmentor69. If you unblock me, I assure you that I will use only one in the future.Myelin69 (talk) 10:11, 12 January 2010 (UTC)Myelin69Reply

Decline reason:

As you appear to attempting to use Wikipedia to promote an organisation or questionable notability I don't see any compelling reason to lift what's actually at the low end of blocks for repleted sock puppetry, particularly where this has been done for promotional purposes. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Sockpuppetry case

edit

You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Samli69 for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. Marasmusine (talk) 16:16, 7 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Horasis article

edit

Looking at the article, I notice that almost all of the references are from the Horasis website. Only two of them are from independent, reliable sources - the WirtschaftsWoche one and the International Herald Tribune one.

Both of these independent sources only account for a minor amount of the prose in the article (I make it a total of 1909 characters of prose, of which only about 212 characters are covered by the two references - approximately 12%).

May I suggest that if possible, you find some more references? I have looked, but on Google Scholar, all the references are to books that Frank-Jürgen Richter has written, the "Global Outsourcing Report 2005" which Richter co-produced and "The Third International Roundtable On Constructing Peace, Deconstructing Terror" - which mentions that Richter was a participant. Google books reveal that Richter has authored or contributed to some books - but I couldn't find any independently written books that talk about Horasis. Google News didn't help either - basically all of the hits appear to be based on press releases from Horasis.

I couldn't find any independent, reliable sources which discuss Horasis - and on Wikipedia, articles need to demonstrate that their subject is notable.

If you can find some useable references, feel free to add them! I'll be keeping an eye on the article, but at the moment, I cannot find evidence that the organisation meets the notability criteria which Wikipedia has.

Dear PhantomSteve, thanks for your suggestions for the Horasis page. I have been blocked from Wiki for 2 weeks due to my ignorance about socketpuppetry. I shall make the changes as soon as I have been unblocked. Best regards, Myelin69 (talk) 10:18, 12 January 2010 (UTC)Myelin69Reply

Proposed deletion of Horasis

edit

The article Horasis has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

spammy, no independent coverage

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Anna Lincoln 11:27, 13 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Block extended for attempted block evasion

edit

Your block has been extended for a further week for block evasion - specifically the creation and use of User:Phanson69 to edit the Horasis article. Please do not do this again otherwise you can expect to be blocked indefinitely. Nancy talk 12:01, 13 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have no idea who Phanson69 is. I can assure you that it is not me. I have stated earlier that I will only use Myelin69 as my username. I will still to this. Myelin69 (talk) 13:51, 13 January 2010 (UTC)Myelin69Reply

I have noted the above on the SPI case at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Samli69. As your previous block was not due to expire until 21 January we have plenty of time for the checkuser to be done although I do have to say that the behavioural evidence is very strong. Nancy talk 14:36, 13 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

I would be grateful if you could do a usercheck. I believe that only an administrator can do this. Thanks. Myelin69 (talk) 14:42, 13 January 2010 (UTC)Myelin69Reply

I have nominated Horasis, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Horasis. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
