Enroll in the course

edit

Aldo, you need to go to the wiki class page, upper left corner and click "enroll". You'll need to enter the enrollment token that I provided in class. If you don't remember it, I can email it to you. Once you've joined, go to the bottom of the class page and add the name of your article. Medmyco (talk) 23:15, 8 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Aldo, I see you still have not enrolled. The assignment is due in two days and I'm worried that you may be having difficulties. This assignment is worth 30% of your grade, and you have already lost a third of that for lack of participating in the exercises. The goal of these exercises was to help you understand the main task, and give you support as you worked through that process. How can I help? Medmyco (talk) 14:50, 13 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Species names

edit

Please name species with their binomial names (i.e. with the species name all lowercase), and check for synonyms. I will merge the article you created, Scopulariopsis Brevicaulis, into Microascus brevicaulis shortly. The exception is if the genus has only one known species. In this case, you can create the article with just the name of the genus and create a redirect at the name of the species. Also, use the taxobox template if possible (you can see one in Microascus brevicaulis). davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 19:36, 16 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Scopulariopsis Brevicaulis

edit

I merged Scopulariopsis Brevicaulis into Microascus brevicaulis because according to a 1998 paper, they appear to be about the same species. Please see the talk page for details. If post-1998 research indicates that the two species are distinct, please either remove the "histmerge" template at the top of Microascus brevicaulis and undo my edit to Scopulariopsis Brevicaulis, or if the histmerge has already happened, ask the administrator who did it to undo it. If there is a species named Scopulariopsis brevicaulis (note the lowercase b) please make sure that the article about it winds up at the proper place, not at Scopulariopsis Brevicaulis. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 20:27, 16 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
