Colin McRae

edit

I rather object to the wording of your edit summary "Deads are not married" - that is grossly disrespectful, even ignoring the fact that he hasn't officially been pronounced dead. Halsteadk 12:00, 16 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

The person is considered to be dead in the head of the article. To make it consistent I changed the text. Death is part of the live. If a man dies his wife becomes a widow, his children orphans. It is not correct to change the whole article and leave him "married". I would not want to be married to a ghost. In respect of the widow this needed to be changed. You missed my point. I don't think referring to him as a "dead" in your edit summary is respectful to anyone. Had you written "dead people are not married" I would have no qualm, but I can't understand why you wrote it the way you did, it's not just a typo. Halsteadk 13:17, 16 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I am happy to learn more. Until now I did not recognise the different connotations of "deads are not married" and "dead people are not married". I will think about it. But far more important than a missing word is the question whether Colin McRae is dead or alive. I thought his death is clear and just his son's is to be questioned. Well...
