APA Citation: Impact of technology on the educational system. (n.d.). In Wikipedia. Retrieved November 9, 2011, from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impact_of_technology_on_the_educational_system

Definition: Shortly after the internet explosion of the 1990s, technology was immediately integrated into the classrooms.

This is a very poor definition of the article and can be improved in many ways. Of the ways I would improve this definition is by defining what the impact of the educational system is referring to. I would also make sure to put emphasis on the aspect of the educational system that is impacted.

I chose this topic because it is related to my current field of study, Computer engineering. It is also related to my second job as an educator at a private school. Putting into perspective my consideration of pursuing a master degree in education, I found this topic to be the most relevant to my field of study and expertise.

This article focuses mainly on the negative aspects of the impact and seldom mentions any positive impact but rather dedicated a small section highlighting a few of the positive aspect. The education systems are now becoming dependent on technology more than ever, in all aspects of the educational process, from administration to attendance. The article would be more relevant if an unbiased approach was taken to equally highlight the benefits and the harms by experts in the field.

Hi there!

I wouldn't recommend Impact of technology on the educational system as an article to improve for your class project. There's really no reason it should exist separately from Educational technology (the impact should be included within the general discussion of the topic), and it's basically waiting to be merged...
