Template:GCC
Hello, Muhaidib. I see you restored the logo in Template:GCC. Unfortunately, this logo is tagged as being available under a claim of fair use, and fair-use images may not be used in templates, by point 9 of the Wikipedia fair-use policy. Thanks for uploading Image:Riyadh history castle.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. —Bkell (talk) 17:19, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
- I removed this image from Riyadh because we have plenty of free images available, so there is no need for this fair-use one. Additionally, it should be possible for someone to create a freely licensed replacement of this image, so the fair-use claim fails point 1 of the Wikipedia:Fair use#Policy. GCC Flag
Sorry, the flag is too small to scan to a SVG and I can't find a bigger version. If you find someone who has Adobe Illustrator, they may be able to do it. Good luck, I hope you get a SVG version of the flag ~ Trisreed my talk my contribs 08:43, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
