Article edit

I see that you've crated a page for the town of Deford, but the facts are wrong. You should research your article some more because these facts about the community are truly false. if this continues i will be forced to report you to Wikipedia. Bernette I also see that you have looked at the Cass City School page. Your facts are not researched here as well. please do better at your edits, not trying to mean or anything. Best of Wishes Bernette 03:21, 25 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Well, in fact, I have checked your information and have founded it false, evermore so than that of Avery_player2011. He as well made mistakes in his article. You must realize that Deford is not as small as you have made it seem. Deford dose have a Downtown area but when I say this, I mean that there is Main Street. I have, along with Graeme Bartlett, viewed your page and reviewed that of Avery_player2011 and saw both as untruthful. I have made an edit to make it truthful with resources. please leave that page alone or i will report you! Sorry if i seem a tad mean but I mean the best. Hopefully you can see that you are somewhat right but also somewhat wrong. Best of Wishes Bernette 04:01, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

I have reviewed the given information that you provided and Sport Team wise Cass City is a Class C but student wise it is a Class A. I will add this information on both pages so you are right but not fully right. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Sadly, the link you have provided on Deford's population dose not account for the people who live and reside within the community with as Cass City Zip (Which Servers as part of Deford's and Cass City). the population count in which Avery_player2011 is true according to the local library and that of the Township of Novesta. Thank you for putting this in front of me. Best of Wishes Bernette 05:04, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Yes, I do understand that when it comes to sports, it can be quite different from academics, but student counts are what are taken into consideration into how the MHSAA develops its Class statuses. Also, when it comes to Census Data, if somebody lived in a Cass City ZIP, then they would be considered part of Cass City and therefore not part of Deford. We cannot try and split this article into: here's the population of people who have a Deford ZIP and here's the population of people who have Cass City ZIPs. If we did that, they we'd have to go through every town in America and do the same thing. For unity's sake, I believe it makes much more sense to only show the population of Deford and not Cass City. Mrhercli89 (talk) 05:11, 25 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

What you don't realize that Marlette has played Class B weaseling but it's a Class C. And Deford is a Unincorporated area so technically Deford dose not have to have one zip code. Much like Hemans and Decker are combined under on Zip code. You can check the facts on that! Best of Wishes Bernette 05:24, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Yes, that may be true, but that's totally at that particular school's discretion. For instance, Caro, being Class B, plays many class A schools in Saginaw, Bay City, Midland and other urban areas. However, Deford happens to have only one ZIP code, so that statement is incorrect. Your statement about Hemans and Decker is most certainly true just like how Caro's ZIP includes parts of Watrousville, but it would be virtually impossible to find out the hamlet's population because the Census does not count it as a separate entity only as part of Juniata township or as part of a particular ZIP code. The same is true with Deford. Deford the hamlet lies entirely within Novesta Township, and is therefore included in Novesta Township's population count. When you talk about 48729, the Deford ZIP Code, it does cross many townships, but of what it does encompass, the Census Bureau already counts. You cannot add anymore to the ZIP Code than is already being counted. What more is there to add, may I ask?

You view is misguided and very wrong. Think of what you will but i will continue the page as I wise so I can be Truthful and Thank you for your opinion but I see this is as far as we can get. Before you did your edits, as records show, an Wikipedia Administrator who lives in Michigan did review the page that Avery_player2011 had left on the page and declared it truthful enough to not be deleted. I am simply here to fix some mistakes and not go after you. The subject should be dropped and the page should be left alone for the time being. Best of Wishes Bernette 05:41, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Be that as it may, but I have lost total an complete confidence with Wikipedia and I cannot believe this has come to this. I guess this is what happens when truth is staring people in the face. I can't imagine if such a small hamlet like Deford is causing this much commotion how other towns on WIkipedia can survive. It really is sad that people who live in this area have to put up with outside sources telling us what they think is true about an area when somebody actually lives right next to the place in question. Bologna.

I agree completely with, thank you for taking in my view and considering that of others. I only hope we put this beside us and continue on making this website a place for truthful and trustful infromation. Best of Wishes Bernette 05:51, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

I saw what you've written and i agree fully. the page needs to either be deleted or left alone — Preceding unsigned comment added by Emily Bernette (talkcontribs) 06:48, 25 June 2009

Feel free to leave the page alone. In fact, I can arrange for that if this nonsense continues. However, there is no basis for deleting the page. We don't "take our ball and go home" here if we don't like the outcome, rather we seek consensus and cite reliable sources. I urge both of you to work in this direction. The edit war on Deford, Michigan edit

Hi. It seems like you've been through a lot here in the past few hours and are just trying to improve things. However I need to make you aware about a policy we have about edit warring. You can be blocked if you keep reverting others' edits that you disagree with. We strongly encourage folks to settle their disputes on the talk pages of articles (In this case it would be talk:Deford, Michigan ) rather than just repeatedly reverting others' edits. We have a rule called WP:3RR that is pretty hard and fast, but folks can be blocked for less than 3 reverts in 24 hours. I don't mean to throw all these rules around at you, but want to make sure you are aware of them because I'd hate for a seemingly well-intended editor such as yourself to find themself blocked. I hope this helps. Toddst1 (talk) 07:06, 25 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Deford, MI edit

I have taken your view and redid your edit with some of my information included. I'm very sorry for the trouble that i caused you and I will agree with you now. I will recheck my information that lead me to start this and a start is taking a another tour of the area. Bernette 08:06, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Ok, thank you very much. That would save us both a lot of trouble. That's all I've been thinking about for some time now. I know it sounds dumb, but Deford is right down the road from me and it's almost as if you're talking about my hometown. So as such, I'm pretty aware of what it looks like and what is going on there. So to see all of this was a big shock. I think it would be the same to you if somebody edited Marlette, MI and made is seem more like, say, Imlay City or something. LOL. I think you'd be not only surprised but also frustrated. Mrhercli89 (talk) 08:23, 25 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Deford MI edit

Hey Micheal, did you ever get those photos of deford. I'll remove the one on the Deford page so you can put the real ones up. I noticed that part of the page still needs references. i'll try to find some for the page. Bernette 02:26, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

I was told that putting original content was not allowed on Wikipedia. It must be something that can be found online. Since there are no pictures of Deford that I can find online, I guess we're at a loss. Mrhercli89 (talk) 04:16, 27 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

You can take a photo and upload it without it being considered WP:OR as long as it's fairly apparent that the subject is what you say it is. Toddst1 (talk) 23:22, 27 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

August 2009 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to User:Michael herc has been reverted, as it appears to have removed content from the page without explanation. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. I removed the content because it is my alternate account and I no longer use it as I have been blocked from editing with it. Mrhercli89 (talk) 21:13, 3 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Caro edit

The responsibility is on you to add sources saying that it's a city. Until there are sources on the article for it being a city, only a statement of it being a village is permitted, because we may not make statements that contradict all sources. I've added the sources to the article — but be aware that I don't like having to do your work for you. Nyttend (talk) 14:51, 7 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Brown and Kirk edit

Just so you know, Brown will only become a senator when he takes the oath of office. Until then, Kirk remains the junior senator, and and the party split will remain 58-40-2. -Rrius (talk) 05:19, 20 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Idaho edit

in this series of edits you added two values for div_9, which is why the page is now in Category:Pages using duplicate arguments in template calls. 76.127.20.109 (talk) 20:58, 8 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Names of Michigan charter townships edit

Hi Mrhercli89,

I noticed that you changed many instances of "X Township" to "X Charter Township" for the names of Michigan charter townships to align with their official names. While it is true that "Charter" is a part of all charter townships' official names, their official names are not in the "X Charter Township" format but rather the "Charter Township of X" format. While the official name—"Charter Township of X"—should certainly be included in the lead and infobox, please refer to WP:COMMONNAME for the title of the article and infobox. I am from Southeast Michigan, and I know for a fact that nearly all charter townships in Wayne, Macomb, Oakland, and Washtenaw counties are referred to as "X Township", not "X Charter Township", in nearly every situation. This is why "Charter" is absent from their titles. Please see this discussion for further information, and let me know if you have any questions or disagreements.

Thanks,

Michipedian (talk) 08:36, 29 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
