edit

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Alexander Ovechkin. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. I don't really have a stake in that issue, but you've already been reverted three times. I would advise you bring up your case for content inclusion in Talk:Alexander Ovechkin before getting blocked for edit warring. Leventio (talk) 01:19, 7 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

I hope this message was passed along to the people who have been undoing my edits. If you do your research on the matter you will see that I am in the right here and per you, I want to the talk page and posted my side of the argument. Again, I really hope you reached out to the others and not just me. MrHindsight (talk) 02:01, 7 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
I did not pass this notice along to anyone else, as I was trying to highlight to you WP:BRD, in that the person's whose edits were reverted/contested is typically expected to initiate a discussion on their proposed content (which was why I only notified you, as you are the proposer who is seeking the change).
With regards to your discussion, anyone who has the Alexander Ovechkin article tagged on their watchlist will see you have started the discussion.
