Been away from the spacetime article for a while! The article is still only class="assess-b " style="background: #b2ff66; text-align: center; " | B. Here are my plans for a comprehensive rewrite:
- Intro. - brief mentions of: combining of space and time; continuum idea; mathematical introduction of spacetime concept by Minkowski; spacetime in relativity; different understanding of past/present/future; spacetime simplifying a lot of theories (and problems); geometrisation of physics; spacetime in quantum theory and string theory.
- Historical origin - pre-Minkowski; Minkowksi (+ 'the quote').
- Spacetime in relativity
- Spacetime manifold - flat (SR) and curved (GR)
- Simplfying problems - twin paradox, ladder paradox etc.
- Simplifying theories - elegant formulation of theories.
- Spacetime in other theories
- Quantum mechanics
- String Theory
