- Hi. You have my (belated) response at Talk:Toc_H. I will spend some more time on the article in an attempt to improve it from an encyclopedic perspective, and would sincerely welcome your help. Cheers, Bjenks (talk) 03:41, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:Viewofupperroomtalbothousesep2009.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:Viewofupperroomtalbothousesep2009.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 06:19, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for File:Tochservicesclubleaflet1941front.PNG
editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:Tochservicesclubleaflet1941front.PNG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Melesse (talk) 17:35, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
Toc H
editHi. I'm looking for third-party sources for the article (and to educate myself) and have started working it over in a sandbox here. One of my aims will be make the article more accessible to the general reader by more logical sequencing and, if possible, shortening. Please don't see this as criticism of your own work, which is very skilful and worthy of retention. I hope you will see it as beneficial to your own purposes to have it cast in a more encyclopedic style which can draw in a greater variety of readers. You can always re-edit what's there, and/or discuss issues on the article's Talk page. Cheers, Bjenks (talk) 17:17, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
A question. It says in an authoritative biography of Herbert Hayes that [In 1926] the Toc H leadership was appalled to learn that [Hayes] had taken part in an intercommunion service with Baptist members. This implies that the "interdenominational" character of Toc H was not yet fully in place. Do you know of any internal debate/conflict on this question, and whether there is relevant documentation? Cheers, Bjenks (talk) 03:18, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
There was an issue in 1926 where it was felt that Toc H's interdenominational stance was not extended to all the nonconformist faiths. This led to George MacLeod's resignation as a chaplain. The period is well documented in The Journal, Toc H's own newsletter, but that is of course a first party original source. This 'crisis' will be examined in the complete history of Toc H which is being compiled by myself and some others in time for the centenary in 2015. Moonbrand (talk) 06:58, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
- I would think (if it's publicly accessible) The Journal is an acceptable source on a historical issue, and is probably capable of being supplemented with outside sources. For instance here is a 1925 letter from P B Clayton (must be Tubby) to the Sydney Morning Herald in answer to a perceived clash with CEMS. Another (in 1931) deals with "intercommunion" issues. Anyway, there's no need for hurry, and your own future compilation sounds like being a handy source. Cheers, Bjenks (talk) 14:47, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Tochlogo.png
editThanks for uploading File:Tochlogo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude2 (talk) 06:12, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
