"Talk pages" were designed for a purpose: For talking. This user believes conversations should take place in the same place, and not be spread across multiple talk pages. This user will watch any pages whicb (s)he edtis, to keep the conversation in one place ! Thank you.

I've archived some of my old talk pages. --Montchav 16:33, 22 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Power sum

edit

This edit was regrettable. A look at the edit history will show that we'd already been through this discussion concerning this page. The term "power sum" does not refer to either of those topics. Power sums, in two slightly different senses of the term, are treated on those pages. Michael Hardy 00:40, 28 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

And besides, why does it make sense to say "Power sums may refer to" rather than "'Power sums' may refer to"? The TERM "giraffes" may refer to animals with long necks, but giraffes themselves do not refer to animals with long necks. Michael Hardy 00:41, 28 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
Sorry for that particular edit then. I don't always look at edit histories before editting pages. I editted it while scrawling through Special:Shortpages some time back. --Montchav 12:46, 1 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

WP:ESSAY

edit

I use my user and talk page to experiment with various bits of code. If something is really annoying, do let me now :) Also, check WP:ESSAY.-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk  22:16, 6 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for that. It isn't that annoying. --Montchav 16:17, 7 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Me for admin

edit

I've been thinking about your proposal to nominate me as an admin last week, and I've decided to accept. You might want to talk to User:Dangherous too, as he asked me the same thing in October. The reason I haven't been quicker to accept is that it seems like so many admins get stuck with the dull chores of dealing with vandals and so forth, and I'm more interested in filling the encyclopedia with good articles. However, there are certainly times when it would save everyone time if I could make a speedy delete or update the DYK myself, and I don't see why the community wouldn't trust me with the extra tools. By the way, I usually only edit from work (Tuesday - Friday) so if you could time it so that I would have to answer questions quickly, that would be nice. (Not having done this before, I'm not sure how the time scale works.) Rigadoun (talk) 15:54, 30 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
