Thanks for the response. I completely agree that existence of Tumblr fandom in itself is unremarkable, I cut most of it back myself last week. But the fact that the show's co-creator explicitly attributes the huge surge in popularity over summer to Tumblr fans and Hannibal memes seems worth mentioning - it's significant that the show has spread so well through word of mouth alone, rather than through big name stars, celebrity endorsements or ad campaigns.

I questioned the significance of the weaker "fans enjoy relationship X the most" stuff at Talk:Welcome to Night Vale, back in August, without much response - would appreciate your thoughts there. And welcome! ...to Wikipedia. --McGeddon (talk) 20:29, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
