Mohamed Fouad edit

Please, just hang on a second. If the article's name is incorrect Wikipedia has a way of fixing it that doesn't involve copy and paste. Please wait. Write here to say you understand this message. Thanks, Mechanical digger (talk) 14:56, 26 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Mohamed Fouad edit

Hi. I see you have created an updated copy of Mohammad Fouad and called it Mohamed Fouad - I presume you think that "Mohamed Fouad" is the correct spelling. However, there is a problem with the way you are approaching it.

In accordance with Wikipedia's Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License, the author of each individual addition to an article must be identifiable via the article history, and if you create a new version of an article by copying and pasting the old one and then adding some more material of your own, you will lose the original article history.

If you wish to add new material to the article, you should add it to the original one, Mohammad Fouad. If you then believe that the title is spelled incorrectly, you should discuss it on the Talk page and see if there is a consensus that agrees with you. If there is, the article will be renamed by Moving it, not by Copying and Pasting to the new title.

If there's anything you don't understand about this, please shout and I'll be happy to explain further.

Best regards -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 15:44, 31 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Oh, I have just looked back at the article history, and I see that the new material you added is the same material that has been removed before as a copyright violation. You must not add any material to a Wikipedia article that you have taken from a copyrighted source. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 15:48, 31 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
