Re:Dziewanowscy edit

The policy of Wikipedia is Wikipedia:Verifiability and Wikipedia:Notability. I am not sure which specific article you refer to, but from time to time I remove articles that seem not to fullfil those policies. If you are sure this was not the case, please let me know. Thank you, -- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk  15:09, 24 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Piotrus, in regards to the Dziewanowski family's nobility, please check any Polish book on heraldry. Or google, "Chopin Dziewanowski" and you'll see numerous articles which document that the noble family Chopin spent his summers with were the Dziewanowskis.

Fair use rationale for Image:MTV-FEAR PILOT.GIF edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:MTV-FEAR PILOT.GIF. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Image:Kunert-martin.jpg edit

Hello, Mr. Kunert. I noticed that you added the following to the image description page for Image:Kunert-martin.jpg:

Added on Feb 17, 2008 - Again, I am Martin Kunert. I own all the rights to this photo graph and have allowed it's use by news media writing articles about me. I am also granting Wikipedia the right to use this photo. Should you have any questions, contact me at either www.martinkunert.com or www.booyastudios.com

I just wanted to make sure that you are aware that licenses such as the GFDL and the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike licenses under which you've released this image allow anyone to use the image for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial, not just Wikipedia. If this is fine with you, then there is no problem and I'll leave you alone. Please let me know if you have any questions. —Bkell (talk) 12:18, 18 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

File copyright problem with File:VoicesOfIraq.jpg edit

File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:VoicesOfIraq.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. –Dream out loud (talk) 18:00, 26 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Re:Dziewanowski family and Polish nobility edit

Please see Talk:List_of_szlachta#Purpose_of_the_list_and_criteria_for_inclusion. Dziewanowski family is simply not important enough. Don't be offended, but there are very few families who can be put together with names like Radziwłłs or Sapiehas.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 19:48, 5 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Your photo is up for deletion at Wikimedia Commons, our file repository. Can you please follow the directions at Commons:COM:OTRS so we can get your ownership verification into our official offline ticket system? That will ensure that it stays available here. If you can give permission to OTRS for your other uploads as well, that would be even better. Thank you. Wknight94 talk 14:13, 13 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Possibly unfree File:VoicesOfIraq.jpg edit

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:VoicesOfIraq.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 23:08, 19 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:VoicesOfIraq.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:VoicesOfIraq.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (talk) 00:34, 27 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:MTV-FEAR PILOT.GIF edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:MTV-FEAR PILOT.GIF. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Proposed deletion of File:MartinKunert.jpg edit

The file File:MartinKunert.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused personal photo. Out of scope.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 09:20, 26 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
