Student Employment at UIUC

The process of Student Employment at UIUC is one that consists of many consistencies and irregularities. The initial culmination of our research showed there is a wide variety of jobs and ways to get them.

Initial Findings

For every job available to students at the time of our research, the student was required to apply by email. Additionally, for all entry-level jobs, i.e. ones that required little or no experience, whether Federal Work Study, university, or non-university, all paid within a narrow range of $8.50 - $10.00 per hour. Finally, these positions offered flexible shifts and weekly hours that ranged between 10 - 20 hours. The duration of the jobs varied from short-term seasonal to no end date.
