Talk:Objections to Evolution

edit

Hello. I wanted to respond to your post on Talk:Objections to Evolution, but I don't want to fan the flames with Gniniv, so I'm posting here instead.

Numerous editors are watching the page, and reverting any POV conflicts in Gniniv's (or indeed any editor's) contributions. That's how we keep them from affecting the validity of the article. There are alternative methods (such as topic-related probationary periods) which can be applied if an editor continues being disruptive even after policy is explained to them... and we may be approaching that point now... but I'm not convinced we've reached it quite yet. As for explaining peer review, talk pages are not only not the place, but based on Gniniv's responses thus far, it wouldn't do any good. WP Policy is much simpler than the topic of "science vs religion", and policy has been explained to him countless times over the course of months, and he's still having legitimate difficulty grasping it. It seems to me that he has real trouble separating his POV from his ability to hear and understand the facts, but further, his repeated attempts to add the same content to the article for months on end indicates to me that there's either something deeper going on with him, or he's not operating under good faith.

I've been working with him on more than just the Objections to Evolution article, BTW, and his behavior elsewhere has been identical. Anyway, thanks for contributing to the discussion nonetheless, and welcome to WP. Feel free to ask if you have any questions! :) Jess talk cs 16:47, 27 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
