That's nice of you but I think we have already met on Czech Wikipedia, haven't we? --Millenium187 (talk) 15:43, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
By the way is it appropriate to use Czech language here? --Millenium187 (talk) 17:58, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
It is appropriate to use English, so that if anybody else wants to join the discussion, he can do so without need for bot translation.Cimmerian praetor (talk) 18:31, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
AD vaše editace k Zemím koruny české - bez relevantních zdrojů to bude vždy smazáno. Podobně i jinde na EN wiki. Cimmerian praetor (talk) 16:00, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
A moje editace článku Brnu, zajímal by mě váš názor? Jsou podle vás v pořádku, nebo je nich něco špatně, co mi jako nováčkovi na EN wiki uniká? --Millenium187 (talk) 17:58, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
First of all, did you add there the template for British English? You don't change English used on a page, unless there are already two or more differing standards and the aim is to unify them. Secondly on my screen the page renders not very nicely, especially in part "local government/ climate+geography". Also, I propose to change "people from Brno" to "people connected with Brno" (Mendel surely is not from Brno). Without looking into details the changes look fine, just make sure to add in sources.
Yes, I added the template, so should I remove it? Well my English is surely far from being perfect, I just hope that someone will eventually fix it. But I am pretty sure that if don't extend the article noone will at least for a very long time. --Millenium187 (talk) 20:31, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
I hate how often what I do on Czech wiki gets changed by people who "simply know and understand (everything) better". To be honest, it seems that the Czech wikipedia attracts disproportionate number of people suffering from being "čurák". Here things are more subtle and, in my opinion, the debates are on higher level, which helps especially when you have the minority view (as was my case in war about Mendel not being Austrian).Cimmerian praetor (talk) 18:31, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
That was well put! :D --Millenium187 (talk) 20:31, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Mendel edit

Mendel was from Silesia, not Moravia. Cimmerian praetor (talk) 07:16, 5 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Well, I am sorry, that's an interesting information I really didn't know that. But in that case Mendel came from Moravia-Silesia because between years 1782-1850 Margaviate of Moravia and Austrian Silesia were merged into one country Moravia-Silesia. Since there is written that he was born on territory of the current Czech Republic I demand explicit specification of the country where he was born and that is surely not the Czech Republic. And there is also no mention that he was a Moravian, what's the problem here? --Millenium187 (talk) 13:22, 5 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
I have never heard of anybody being "Moravian-Silesian". I have heard about Silesins, German-Silesians, Czech-Silesians, Polish-Silesians, but this is a novelty to me.
If you check history and discussion to the article, you will find out that there was quite a long war regarding the label "Austrian scientist", which is clearly a nonsense, however it is in majority of English-language sources (I would prefer either "Silesian" or "German-Czech"). I got simply tired of it, but if you want to reopen the issue, please feel free to do so.
I think that you misinterpret it. Moravia/Moravia-Silesia was a land, country was Austrian Empire, later Austria-Hungary. Regards Cimmerian praetor (talk) 14:53, 5 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
Land? When I click on Scotland I see word "country", is land really the proper term for Moravia in that time period? --Millenium187 (talk) 16:12, 5 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

September 2011 edit

Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia! I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles, nor are such pages a forum. Thank you. Yopie (talk) 02:37, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Ok, thank you for the suggestion regarding my behaviour, I will do my best to adapt. And thank you for your politeness. --Millenium187 (talk) 03:14, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Brno edit

Rád bych Vás upozornil, že [vaším zásahem http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Brno&diff=452867113&oldid=452826770] došlo k ztrátě celé části týkající se historie. Předpokládám, že se jedná o omyl. Cimmerian praetor (talk) 13:07, 28 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

I don't thinks so, see this: History of Brno. :) --Millenium187 (talk) 19:09, 28 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
OK, my bad. I guess you are planning on making it longer, so I won't comment on the length of the article.
BTW as regards Brno being the only not-conquered town of Moravia - Olomouc was also not conquered - the military just decided to give it to the hands of the Swedes. But I understand that this is more of a technicality. Cimmerian praetor (talk) 19:39, 28 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
Anyway it wasn't successful in defending itself. --Millenium187 (talk) 21:21, 28 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

March 2012 edit

Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Moravia. Ok, thank you. The reason why I have certain objections concerning quality of the article about Moravia is that there are certain strange things about it, probably false claims and so on. I am just strongly convinced that it should be much more accurate, that's all, however, I am the one who should fix it, I my opinion it requires an "expert" on Moravian history (a historian), so I won't interfere any longer. And I am sorry if I did anything wrong. --Millenium187 (talk) 11:37, 30 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
