Personal friends are like social media...they are not valid citations. If the date of the 28th is valid, then they need to announce it so it shows up in a valid source. Your claim of being friends with the family and being asked by the family might be the truth, but without a valid citation I cannot (and Wikipedia) cannot accept your claim as valid as it contradicts all (currently) know sources. I am sorry for the families loss, but your word that the 28th is correct is not valid and is a violation of Wikipedia:Verifiability.
