Notation syntax at Afro-Cuban jazz

I noticed your edit. I've been having trouble editing Afro-Cuban jazz because the syntax for scores, notation, and audio samples seems to be messing up syntax coloring, which I rely on like oxygen. Past a certain point, all of the text is pink or grey from italics or both and difficult to work on. You seem to have the background to be able to address this matter. In that article, is there a problem with how the notation and audio samples are coded? Or do those tools naturally conflict with syntax coloring (and I have to live with it)? Usually I see the Listen template, but not here.

Hi! I'm pretty sharp with the referencing stuff, but I haven't used <score>. From what little I know about it, it looks okay to me. Which editor are you using that does syntax coloring? Maybe if I hve a look using that editor, I can pick out the problem. It looks like a really cool article; it's so very helpful to have the sound samples along with the musical idea the text describess, so let's see if we can find a way to make it work better. -- Mikeblas (talk) 02:47, 17 January 2019 (UTC)
Under preferences I have syntax highlighting checked. I use the default Vector skin on Firefox 64.02.

Thanks! Looks like the <score> syntax is tripping up the syntax coloring in the editor. I don't think I see anything wrong with the score code that's in the article, though I'm not very experienced with it. I don't think I can help much. Maybe there really is something wrong with the code in the article, or maybe the syntax coloring feature simply isn't compatible with the score notation. -- Mikeblas (talk) 19:01, 17 January 2019 (UTC)
OK.
