August 2010 edit

  Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Buffalo Wild Wings, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. 132 12:51, 9 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

  Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Buffalo Wild Wings. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. As you are affiliated with this company, it is highly inappropriate for you to be editing it in this manner by adding unsourced information, and making it even worse than that is stripping sources that were already there. Stop now or you could be blocked for your disruption. If you feel changes to the page should be made, you should bring the issues up on the talk page, along with reliable sources to verify the information, get a consensus, and wait for someone else to make the changes. 132 16:36, 17 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

I've looked into your edits further, as well as information about Mike. The information you are adding directly contradicts reliable sources already there, as well as the official site for the restaurant. Further, I have found no evidence through various online searches that Mike Balsom was ever even part of the creation of the restaurant. Every single hit that connected the two was lifted directly from here, either in whole or in part. Given that, I have removed mentions of him from the article.
Any additions of Mike need to be brought up on the talk page and they absolutely must be accompanied by reliable sources to verify the information (this includes mentions to Bernard, as the same issues involve him as well). As Wikipedia is built on verifiability, not truth, anything added by yourself without proper sourcing will be removed as original research and you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia further. I strongly urge you to allow other unbiased users to review your suggestions on the talk page, evaluate whether they should be incorporated, and, if so, wait for them to add it. You are clearly biased with regards to this article and I think it would be in your best interest to avoid directly editing it in the future. --132 17:25, 17 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
