Hello. On the chance that you actually are the real Mike Gravel, you should be aware that editing your own biography article on Wikipedia brings up a whole host of sometimes difficult issues. There are some Wikipedia guidelines that you should read for starters, including WP:BIOSELF, WP:BLPHELP, and WP:AUTOBIO.

Regarding the specific changes you made to the Mike Gravel article, most of them have been removed by me. The main problem is that the introductory section (the text before the Table of Contents) has to be relatively brief, and cannot go into a lot of detail (such as the detailed reasons for a bankruptcy). The other major change that was made introduced a historical inaccuracy in assessing the results of the Gravel filibuster against the draft; this is discussed at Talk:Mike Gravel, the place where editors discuss what should and should not go into the article, and you should read that first. On that talk page, I will be very happy to discuss these or other content issues with you. Also note that per the above guidelines, an alternate route of discussion if you feel the article is unfair is to email info-en-q@wikimedia.org with full details of the problems.

Finally, if you are not the real Mike Gravel, your username is in violation of WP:USERNAME and you should change it to something else. Wasted Time R (talk) 16:12, 30 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
