Hello :)

I just created user language boxes for sign language, similar to the ones that exist for spoken languages. You may like to have a look. Any feedback is of course welcome!

Thanks for creating these; I liked them!! I'm afraid I can't think of any constructive feedback. :) Some of these pedantic for details might be vaguely upset that you aren't using seperate boxes for seperate (sign) languages, although I can understand why you chose to go with the approach you did... I'd have done the same myself. Have put one for myself on my user page. :)

Yes there are good arguments for a general template, for seperate templates, and a pretty good argument for ditching the template altogether! Please keep in mind that it's still experimental and may change a bit, so keep an eye on it. I hope to generate a discussion to iron out some of the problems with the template at category:User sgn. I appreciate your input!

By the way, it kind of breaks your homepage being up there at the top like that. My inner interior decorator wants to move it down lower on the page! ;) ntennis 06:26, 30 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

Hehe, yeah, I want to create a better layout for my user page but I still have a lot to learn about cyber-interior decorating!! :)

Child of Deaf Adult

I have noticed that you are affiliated with sign language in one way or another. The article on CODAs needs quite a bit of work, and I think is an important article to have as a part of Wikipedia. I would like to invite you to participate in making it a better article. — Esprit15d 20:15, 21 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Deaf-mute

edit

Hi Mija. I'm seeking opinions and possible support for an issue in which I'm in a debate with other Wikipedians. I'm trying to change indiscrimant use of the term "deaf-mute" in describing deaf people in general. To see some comments related to the issue, see Talk:The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter, as well as my own Talk page, User talk:Ward3001. You can also follow the links to other discussions. Right now I'm about the only person addressing the issue because deaf people are such a small minority. Other Wikipedians, with apparently no prior knowledge of the issue, are reverting my edits. If you're interesting in expressing your opinion, feel free to do so. If you wish to discuss further please leave me a message on my Talk page. Thanks. Ward3001 17:47, 4 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Deaf

edit

I notice you are a member of WikiProject Deaf. You may also add {{User WikiProject Deaf}}, which also adds a userbox to your page, or [[Category:WikiProject Deaf participants]] to your userpage. If you do, it will list you in Category:WikiProject Deaf participants. Taric25 20:05, 25 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

I added you to Category:WikiProject Deaf participants. Taric25 15:42, 10 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
