Speedy deletion of Jump (Flo Rida Song) edit

A tag has been placed on Jump (Flo Rida Song) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. SparkCharts2009 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Diva (Beyoncé Knowles song), did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Do not add any unofficial charts to any Wikipedia articles. Thank you. — Σxplicit 02:52, 12 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I see your point and I am sorry for any confusion, but I would like to see this list of bad charts, because i think all charts should be represented on the pages for songs. Sorry again.--Microwave09 (talk) 02:58, 12 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Bad charts can be located here: WP:BADCHARTS. Can I ask where these charts you've added came from? — Σxplicit 03:08, 12 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank-you, but i don't see SparkCharts2009 on this list. But i think it may conform to the BadCharts Standards, because it is a single vendor chart in Canada. They are posted in the town i live in. Thank-you for correcting me, I just thought all charts and styles be represented on Wikipedia, since this is the encyclopedia for all information. Right? Thats what encyclopedia's are. You have been very helpful.--Microwave09 (talk) 03:19, 12 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ah, I see. Yes, single vendor charts should also be avoided, as it is stated in the guideline. Glad to be of help. — Σxplicit 03:23, 12 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image (File:Value Drug Mart.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading File:Value Drug Mart.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 02:43, 20 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • I am actually currently creating the page it will be used on.--Microwave09 (talk) 16:29, 20 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Value Drug Mart edit

The article Value Drug Mart has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:COMPANY possible minor local notability only. Single local news hits on Google News.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. RP459 (talk) 02:50, 17 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:GKlein.jpg edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:GKlein.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 11:34, 21 September 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 11:34, 21 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • I must of put the wrong lisence in, because this is completly my work. Sorry for the confusion. How should I correct this?Microwave09 (talk) 21:52, 22 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Value Drug Mart edit

As reviewing administrator, I removed a tag for speedy deletion as promotional, along with some promotional language & material copied from the web site.. But there isn't much content left, not enough really to show notability, and I have marked it accordingly. You need to show notability with references providing substantial coverage from 3rd party independent published reliable sources, print or online, but not blogs or press releases, or material derived from press releases. Financial data helps; is it a public company? You also need to write like an encyclopedia article, not a press release--don't praise yourself, say what you do. And, do not copy from a web site -- first it's a copyright violation, but, even if you give us permission according to WP:DCM, the tone with not be encyclopedic and the material will not be suitable. For further information see our FAQ about business, organisations, and articles like this, and also see our guide to writing Wikipedia articles. I advise you to improve this article very quickly, before the article gets deleted by a regular deletion process. DGG ( talk ) 19:49, 6 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

New 2010 Olympic articles edit

Before you create too many of these, please make sure you actually have a solid reference that says the nation will actually participate (i.e. has qualified athletes). We've already had to delete several of these because editors "jumped the gun" with assumptions that turned out to be false. Thanks — Andrwsc (talk · contribs) 20:17, 8 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
