Speedy deletion nomination of TweeterGetter

edit

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as TweeterGetter, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

Sorry, TwittterGetter [1], I didn't notice my typing error.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. gordonrox24 (talk) 15:52, 16 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Eckart von Hirschhausen

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Eckart von Hirschhausen, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Unreferenced, one-sentence BLP fails to establish notability per WP:ENTERTAINER.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. لennavecia 14:46, 19 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Götz Heidelberg

edit

A tag has been placed on Götz Heidelberg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

advice

As reviewing admin, I recognize that anyone with a large article in the deWP is almost certainly notable to us also, & stopped the deletion. That link may not have been noticed: I formulated it correctly and added some basic information from there, including a reference.

Thank you for your contribution to our work!--michelvoss 08:07, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

I placed an "underconstruction' tag on it. Unfortunately, at this Wikipedia, some editors-- and administrators -- are very fast to delete what look like inadequate articles. They are absolutely wrong to do so without checking, but it happens:

I think, that this is really a major problem and demoralizes thousends of potential authors.--michelvoss 08:07, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

I could even say it happens a good deal. We do have policies and guidelines to prevent it, but they are often ignored, and there is no practical way to enforce them. The only precaution is to write something that can demonstrate notability clearly even at the first edit:

to busy: on http://twitter.com/michelvoss it's read in no time by ~ 100.000 followers. Just want to share my new knowledge also with the users of wikipedia. Regularly I also twitter things like this: "Götz Heidelberg, constructing engineer, article is only a stub, help expanding it- en.wikipedia".--michelvoss 08:07, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

I can read a little German, I added the sort of thing that is considered sufficient. You really ought to add a good deal more at the first opportunity. See if you can supplement the German references with some in English. DGG (talk) 17:34, 23 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
