Image copyright problem with Image:Sdk2cartridge.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Sdk2cartridge.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Rcpro.png) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Rcpro.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Apology edit

During the Super Paper Mario debacle, I lost my cool. While I should have and could have controlled my temper and not make sarcastic and/or rude comments, I did anyway, so I apologize. - A Link to the Past (talk) 19:24, 12 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, right. You're just all happy "and apologetic" because the game was released on your beloved Wii.-Mega Man 5 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Wii incompatibility edit

I noticed that you changed the word "incompatible" with "not compatible". Keep in mind that grammatical postitives are preferred in encyclopedia entries. For example, "a circle is not square" would be replaced by "a circle is round". If you have any comments on the issue, please contact me. Just64helpin 20:43, 4 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I recently changed more than just that. But why change it in the first place? When the "not compatible/incombatibility" portion of the article first appeared, it said not compabtible with four of the GameCube's accessories. Then the wording was changed shortly after (not compatible to incompatible, for example), but all meant exactly what I had contributed earlier. Why change the wording? There was nothing wrong with what I had contributed earlier (when the not compatible portion first appeared in the article), because my original wording was readable and made sense, and the Wii not being compatible with those accessories is a pure fact. So why not just leave it?-Mega Man 5 4 May 2007 (UTC)
I'm not sure why you neglected to post in my talk page. Anyways, "incompatible" means "not compatible". Readers tend to glance over the "not" bit and go straight to "compatible". I've trimmed the prose avoid this issue altogether. Please also keep in mind that "adaptor" redirects to "adapter". Just64helpin 21:39, 4 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Exactly. So, there was no need to change the wording in the first place.-Mega Man 5 4 May 2007 (UTC)
The point is that "adapter" is the correct word and should be used. Just64helpin 21:44, 4 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I changed it to adapter. Now leave my contribution.Mega Man 5 4 May 2007 (UTC)
Your contribution states the same thing twice. Please avoid doing this. Just64helpin 21:53, 4 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Wrong, I changed "adaptor" to "adapter" which is what you said should be used. There was nothing wrong with my wording, and in the end your contribution means exactly what I had contributed the first time. Avoid changing it, Just64helpin. It doesn't need to be changed.Mega Man 5 4 May 2007 (UTC)

I'm aware of the warning, so quit spamming my talk page Harlock jds.-Mega Man 5 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Wii compatibility. edit

Please stop saying that the Wii is 'incompatible' with gamecube stickers. Please keep in mind you've already been banned once for violating 3RR -- Phoeba WrightOBJECTION! 08:45, 18 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

That's what I was going to do anyway if everyone still said the information I contributed shouldn't remain. And that is still what everyone's saying, so the below warning isn't necessary. Also, I was never banned from this site. I was blocked from editing articles for 24 hours once, and that is it.-Mega Man 5 18 May 2007 (UTC)
Banning and blocking are sweet potatoes and yams. I'm just letting you know that you're in danger of crossing 3RR again, I have nothing to do withthe below comment -- Phoeba WrightOBJECTION! 03:59, 19 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Gamecube. edit

Nintendo no longer manufactures Gamecube. Therefore it should be considered obsolete. There are no new Gamecube games coming out for the system. Nintendo's focus is on Wii and Ds. Only retailers sell the few remaning Gameboy games and Game Cube.

You're wrong. Nintendo has confirmed multiple times that they still manufacture the GameCube [1][2][3], Madden NFL 08 will be released for the GC next month[4], and most retailers still sell GC hardware[5][6][7], software, and accessories[8][9][10]. Therefore, the system is not obsolete and Nintendo is not focusing completely on Wii and DS. These are facts. Accept them. Mega Man 5 26 July 2007 (UTC)

Please stop making revisions to Nintendo Gamecube Your actions are in violation of WP:3RR Asher196 05:38, 29 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

You need to stop. Your sources are not reliable, and neither are the sales of the Xbox and GC. The three sources provided have the latest official information regarding the sales (shipments for PS2) of the sixth generation systems, and are far more reliable. Therefore they need to be left, and you need to stop. Mega Man 5 29 October 2007 (UTC)

I have twice provided reliable third party sources (Yahoo News and Wedbush Morgan Securities) I'm sorry if you disagree with their reporting. Asher196 05:56, 29 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I included sources that have been used in the article for several months. The ones with figures for PS2 and GC come direct from Sony and Nintendo, so they are official, correct, and more reliable, and did not need to be replaced. The Xbox source is from Game Daily, but is accurate. How? The information, while on Game Daily's site, comes from someone who works at Microsoft who states that the system has sold over 24 million. I'm sure many would trust someone at Microsoft over Yahoo News. Mega Man 5 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Mmx3satcover.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Mmx3satcover.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Bbgccover.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Bbgccover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Project FMF (talk) 01:54, 20 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
