Welcome edit

Greetings Mcrazychick, I see you're already familiar with the welcome template! You'll probably find Help:Reverting and Wikipedia:Deletion policy more helpful.

In other news, may I ask why your user page includes a file named "Image:Porn.jpg"? Melchoir (talk) 06:49, 14 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Welcome, with a couple notes edit

Welcome to Wikipedia! I, too, see you're already familiar with {{welcome}}. I might add, though, that most talk page templates are meant to be substituted, not simply embedded. So instead of {{welcome}}, it's better if you write {{subst:welcome}}.

I am unsure how to address the image you have on your userpage, though. Given the fact that WP:USER and WP:NOT#CENSOR have nothing to say about it, I have nothing bad to say about it at this time. You might consider moving it to a subpage, though. Users don't expect to see photos like that when they go to other users' pages. Tuvok[T@lk/Improve me] 07:49, 14 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the welcome and the helpful notes! I will do that from now on with the welcome template.
In response to the image, i just enjoy expressing myself and that is one way that i do it. If someone is so offended by it than i will do as you said and move it to a subpage (which by the way, i dont know how). You aren't offended by it right? Thank you Mcrazychick (talk) 14:59, 14 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Moving the image to a subpage is as easy as taking it off your main userpage (which I see someone else has already done) and putting the same code into a subpage of your userspace, for example User:Mcrazychick/My Pic, User:Mcrazychick/Photo, or whatever you want to name it.
I suggest it only because having an even only potentially offensive image on your userpage can get you flagged by the community as a possible troll. It's nowhere near what Publicgirluk did, though. And I suggest you keep it that way; you don't want one of these about you, do you? :) Tuvok[T@lk/Improve me] 16:26, 14 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
PS: A side note about responding to talk page messages. I know you're new here, so I'm adding this as advice. The accepted convention I've seen for posting on talk pages is to respond in the place of the original comment. To that end, some more active users, such as myself, have response guidelines at the top of their talk page detailing where they'd like responses to be for various discussion origins. That's why I've moved your response here. Just so you don't think, "Huh? Why?"
Okay, thank you everyone. Mcrazychick (talk) 22:39, 17 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks edit

Thanks for reverting the vandalism on my user page several times; I appreciate it :) PaievDiscuss! 15:37, 14 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I removed the image from your userpage edit

Don't put it back. And you are on very thin ice here. I recommend to all admins that you be blocked very quickly in case you cause any trouble at all. This is a project to create an encyclopedia, not your personal playground.--Jimbo Wales (talk) 00:55, 18 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Oh, i am sorry, goodbye. I am leaving wikipedia. Mcrazychick (talk) 04:03, 18 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image:Boyfriends_work.jpg listed for deletion edit

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Boyfriends_work.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

Despite the fact that you have retired, I feel obligated to paste this message here. Tuvok[T@lk/Improve me] 06:12, 18 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

User:Quadell has decided to keep your image on Wikipedia, but I am concerned that you may not want the image to remain on our project considering that you have quit. Could you please indicate your wishes: would you rather allow us to use this image, or would you rather we delete it? Everyking (talk) 23:49, 18 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Actually, it appears the image has been deleted. It now exists only on Commons. The same question applies, though. I don't know how much hope we have for a response, though, Everyking. She did say she's left... Tuvok[T@lk/Improve me] 05:36, 19 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
I know it's been moved to Commons, but it's still on the project and I wanted to keep the question simple. I said in the deletion nomination that I thought this should be deleted unless she tells us that she has no problem with us continuing to use it, due to the nature of the picture. Quadell, however, felt that we should keep it unless she tells us not to. Everyking (talk) 05:56, 19 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
On checking Commons, I see it's been re-deleted there. Quadell was responsible for it; there was some discussion about it following the initial deletion, at which point Quadell undeleted the file, but further discussion resulted in it being deleted once again. So it's neither here nor there, in the literal sense of the phrase. Tuvok[T@lk/Improve me] 07:50, 19 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
