License tagging for Image:John osborne 203 203x152-1-.JPG

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:John osborne 203 203x152-1-.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 14:07, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

David Cross

edit

Hi, just to let you know why I removed your addition of personal information to David Cross (footballer). Wikipedia has a policy called WP:Biographies of living persons, which says that biographical material about a living person "must adhere strictly" to Wikipedia's content policies, which include that of verifiability. This means that the information must be referenced, so that the reader is "able to check that material added to Wikipedia has already been published by a reliable source, not whether we think it is true". If any of the material can be referenced to published sources showing both the child's sporting prowess and that they are the child of David Cross, please feel free to re-introduce it. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 07:56, 17 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi, thank you for taking the matter seriously, your efforts are much appreciated. While the sources don't actually say they're the children of David Cross, I'm happy to assume good faith on the matter, though it'd be nice if there was a source somewhere that said he did have 3 children, I'll have a look see if I can dig anything up. Better not go into any more detail, though, or it'll read like one of those "what my family did this year" circulars that people send round at Christmas :-) cheers, Struway2 (talk) 11:58, 17 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Bangor University Cricket Club

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
