editWelcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to Latham & Watkins appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe our core policies. Thank you. brewcrewer (yada, yada) 02:31, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
No, the article is written as a marketing piece. The info about the financial difficulties is more timely, and should go first.
Continued Concerns
editA discussion regarding the propriety of your recent edits has been raised at the Administrator's Incident Noticeboard. I would personally advise you to either:
- Stop editing the article in question OR
- Discuss any changes to the article before making them
Your editing pattern seems to (perhaps inadvertently) violate Wikipedia's policies of neutrality and consensus. Thanks for your good work, and I encourage you to broaden out in your editing! Please feel free to ask any questions here, at my talk page, or at the noticeboard. —Finn Casey * * * 02:53, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
- Put simply, the wiki page was written as an advertisement for a LONG TIME. Some of us have been adding information to provide a broader picture of the firm. I reordered the recognitions and layoffs section. One of your editors said it was a good idea, and that he'd leave it open for comment for a week or so. A couple weeks went by and no one opposed it, so I changed the ordering. What exactly is wrong with that? For reasons for the reordering see the earlier discussions. You're reverted this page back to an advertisement. Congrats. --User:Masslayoffs
- I can understand your confusion. However, it appears that the only article you edit is the Latham & Watkins one. This indicates that you must exercise special care not to unduly push a fringe point of view. Since you have been inserting this material, and a number of independent editors have taken it out, it would be best for you to refrain from reinserting it. I personally have never edited the article. I just wanted to offer some helpful suggestions. —Finn Casey * * * 05:26, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
This is because I happen to have a lot of knowledge about this firm and have been trying to make it more neutral. Look at it now, it's a god damn advertisement. Put the section about the layoffs back in.
