Raja Tahir Masood - Author

He was born in the small village of Morah Bari in Mirpur Azad Jammu and Kashmir Pakistan.

He attended his Kalyal Bainsi primary school and Islamgarh high school before migrating to the UK and settled in Peterborough city in 1978.

From 1989 – 2008, he worked for Peterborough City Council and Cross Keys Homes Housing Association holding different officers positions.

Since 2010 he has undertaken considerably, important and noble work on the Peterborough and the UK British-Pakistani community by publishing his book on the community heritage history. In last five years he has publish further seven books, including Lives and Quotes of World Famous People and his autobiography Home from Home, held six-week exhibition at Peterborough Museum and ten day exhibition at Peterborough Cathedral celebrating “60th Year of Pakistani Arrival in Peterborough”.

Raja Tahir Masood has shown a great commitment, dedication, promoted his community in a positive limelight, which has encouraged greater interaction, participation and he is viewed as a positive role model by the community, all his work is without fame or benefit.

In March 2015, Raja Tahir Masood was interviewed about his life and the changing faces of Peterbotough in an extensive one to one interview on BBC Radio 4 by Zubida Malik.
