blanking articles

edit

Both David Beckham and Alpesh Vadher . Don't it will lead to you being blocked for vandalism. --pgk(talk) 10:17, 20 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Not on my user page

edit

Don't leave notes on user pages, use the "Talk" or "Discussion" pages for notes. The fact that you can edit pages is by design. Do not delete the content of the page before adding to it. For articles you can edit them by improving the article in relation to wikipedia's goal of building an encyclopaedia. For comments on the articles you can place these on the aritcle discussion page. Again do not blank what is already there simply add it. I've put the standard welcome template below which points you in the direction of some reading as to how wikipedia works. --pgk(talk) 10:22, 20 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Welcome!

Hello, Marksandspecer, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

Please use user talk pages for discussion, not the user pages themselves, the software is designed to only give the user an orange message when their talk page is edited. Thanks. --Alf melmac 10:23, 20 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Place to edit

edit

You can experiment with editting in the sandbox --pgk(talk) 10:30, 20 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

User:marksandspecer/marksandspecers sandbox for anyone to use

Advertising sandbox

edit

Yes I would mind. As would many other people. The main sandbox at Wikipedia:Sandbox is already available for anyone to use. If you want your own sandbox that's fine but there is no need to advertise it. --pgk(talk) 10:41, 20 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Warning

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism, and if you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the hard work of others. Thank you. Acetic Acid 10:50, 20 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Vandalizing my talk and user pages ring a bell? Not to mention the articles you blanked. Please don't do it again. Acetic Acid 10:57, 20 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
Well, hopefully you learned how quickly bad faith edits are caught in this system. Acetic Acid 11:01, 20 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sandboxes

edit

I have two sandboxes of my own, tho' I only infrequently use them for testing. :) I am strongly against advertising another user's page(s) above others, as this can easily be misinterpretted as partisan. Sorry. --Alf melmac 10:53, 20 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

RfA

edit

Hmmmm- You might want to read the guidelines before adding to the RfA page. Thanks :) Dlohcierekim 12:34, 20 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
