Hello Mark, you write that the jukung is "essentially of Balinese origin". To my knowledge, the Balinese do not have a reputation of sailors, while Madurese do. Isn't the jukung actually of Madurese origin? Djoehana (talk) 12:16, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Try telling a Balinese fisherman that Maduranese are better sailors than they are!!!! The Balinese jukung is certainly Balinese in origin. Maybe there is a Maduranese jukung.
